Government Lockdown guidelines state that Repair businesses can open, however ‘Stay at home’ rules also prohibit non-essential journeys. This presents something of a moral dilemma for my business. If I have scheduled your instrument for repair I will be in touch to discuss our options. I will continue working on the waiting list where possible and practical. If you prefer not to bring your instrument during lockdown, that is totally fine, we can arrange work once lockdown is ended.
If you have an emergency repair please phone or email me. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for scheduled service or repair please contact me. I will not be open for on-site sales, drop-ins or unscheduled visits. All drop offs and pick ups will be socially distanced and by appointment only.
All instruments will be quarantined, unopened, for a minimum of 72 hours upon arrival prior to repair, and again for a minimum of 72 hours upon completion of repair prior to pick up, so I anticipate they will be with me longer than normal - please allow for this. Payment must be made prior to pick up, by card, PayPal or BACS, and instruments will not be tried by customers in the workshop - your appointment is for a socially distanced drop off or pick up only. When you contact me to book an appointment for your instrument I will email you a form to fill in to put inside the case of your instrument.
Please do not leave any instruments outside my workshop if I am not there!
