My workshop is currently open for socially distanced instrument drop offs and collections only. I am working through my repair backlog following lockdown, and am currently running a waiting list. Please see my business hours page for more information.
Welcome to Lynne Williams Woodwind. If you are looking for woodwind repairs, second hand instruments, jewellery made from wind instruments or a specialist woodwind performer please check out my site.
Performing - I am a keen performer, and regularly play in orchestras, show bands, ensembles and swing bands. From piccolo to contr'alto flute, oboe to bassoon, clarinets and saxes, if it's a Woodwind instrument then I play it! Myself and my Duo partner Robert Rainford perform regularly in concerts, lunch time recitals and at weddings and parties. Visit our website for more information.
Repairing - I am normally available for customer visits in my workshop from Wednesday - Saturday by appointment. Please contact me to check opening hours, as they are different each day. Sometimes concerts and rehearsals mean that opening hours are variable. I stock a variety of accessories including reeds, cases and cleaning cloths. Please see my Repairing page for more information. I currently have a waiting list for repairs. Please contact me to discuss your repair and book your instrument in at a mutually convenient time.
Sales - I sell second hand instruments and also jewellery made from old instrument keys. Please see my sales pages for my current stock. If there is anything particular you are looking for, please let me know, as some instruments sell before they get to the website.
I am also a published composer, and a number of my books are on the ABRSM Exam Syllabus. They are available for purchase from my workshop or online from http://www.fortonmusic.co.uk/Composers/composer/lynne-williams/
I now have a landline at the workshop. The number is 01524 791182.
I am currently selling a large collection of second hand sheet music in my workshop at £1 per book - money raised will be donated to Jessie's Fund. For more information about the amazing work they do, please check out their website https://jessiesfund.org.uk/
